Attending to the needs and issues of broken people today is confusing, and at times, overwhelming. In society today many people are in search for purpose, meaning and truth, many are experiencing an overwhelming sense of emptiness and loneliness, even after they have achieved many of the goals they wanted. "And why shouldn't they? In a world flooded with distresses like divorce, father absence, rampant sexual abuse, terrorism, anxiety and depression, there seems to be an epidemic of escapism through drugs, alcohol, consumerism, sex, violence and suicide". People go through life without HOPE, inspiration, love, or encouragement. This leads to the bleeding of the soul, which longs to be in union with God the Father, the Creator of all GOOD. When Christians lack this relationship with God due to the "worldly" stressors of life, they lack the true essence of what it is to be whole and unique in the eyes of the Lord. But God's grace is forever, allowing one the hope and chance to HEAL, GROW, LEARN and STRIVE to be the GREAT.
I have truly learned that life is not easy. One has to work towards a goal, a vision or dream...and while on this journey NUMEROUS obstacles will fall in the way! Many wonder why God would allow certain things to happen to people. This leads to the desire to "escape" in the things of the world. But scripture says: "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"-1 Corinthians 10:13. Paul also wrote in Romans 8:18: “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
Jesus NEVER said there would be no suffering, for even in the scriptures, John 16:33, He said "You will have suffering in this world". But that is not the end of the story! In Genesis 50:20 it states: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” So if you are committed to God and believe in His word, He promises that He can and will take whatever pain you’re experiencing and bring something good from it.

Breaking the Bonds of Sexual Addiction
I have been brought through the fire in my own life story, and now have a powerful testimony, just as the scriptures promised. I have endured abandonment, verbal and emotional abuse, low-self esteem, severe illness, depression and discrimination. At one point I remember wondering if there was a God-this was in my deepest anguish. But out of my despair, the "tormented" Sabrina died, and reborn was a spiritual warrior, determined to find the abundance that life offers, and God promised, to every human being. Once I discovered my own potential (which arose out of my despair), I fully understood the calling on my life. It was as if the pieces were rushing together and finally I was able to see the BIG PICTURE...
